

Maryland Wing Aerospace Academy
19-26 June 2004
Four cadets from the Arundel Composite Squadron attended the Maryland Wing Aerospace Academy. Formerly known as Glider Academy, this week-long activity includes instructional flights in gliders and powered aircraft, as well as classes on:
| Aerodynamics of glider flight | |
| Tow aircraft procedures and glider hook-up | |
| Flight line operations with special emphasis on Safety | |
| Weather conditions and effects in glider operations | |
| Health factors in outdoor activities including hydration and dehydration |
In addition, cadets participated in other C.A.P. classroom training, recreational activities and a field trip to the National Air & Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center located at Dulles Airport. The final formation and awards presentation took place at Frederick Composite Squadron HQ on Saturday, June 26.
